Sivanne Goldfarb is the Director of Marketing and Brand Partnerships at Pocket Gems. She oversees all marketing and partnerships for Pocket Gems’ portfolio of games, which includes Free Realms, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Family Guy: Uncensored.
How did she get into marketing?
Sivanne explained that she always loved marketing. She started her education in marketing, but quickly realized that she was most interested in video game development. She still studied marketing in school, but took the time to explore the video game industry for her post-graduation career.
What is her advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?
Sivanne advises aspiring entrepreneurs to find ways to truly differentiate themselves. She says that it is important for companies to be able to do something that nobody else can do or is already doing. This way, companies are able to stand out from the competition and make a name for themselves.
Favorite apps and games
When it comes to apps, Sivanne said there are three she loves.
“My favorite app is Google. I know that sounds boring but it has so many features that you don’t even know about! Another one of my favorites is Instagram. I love photography and sharing my pictures on Instagram. The last one is Twitter. I am very active on Twitter because it allows me to share what I am doing or have done in the past 24 hours. It also allows me to connect with people from all over the world!”
